hereditary is an ambitious and provocative new multimedia Cli-Fi Opera written by UK based “composer-performer-provocatrice” Laura Bowler (Arts Desk on FFF) and multi-international-award-winning political theatre writer and dramaturg Sam Redway (Bin Laden: The One Man Show), commissioned by the form breaking Ensemble Lydenskab. In a surreal and unsettling mirror-world of diminishing resources, rising sea levels, and decreasing corporate responsibility, one woman is forced to question in whose name we sacrifice our children. hereditary is an unflinching odyssey that explores the ethics of parenthood in a world failing to wrestle with climate catastrophe.
